The sweet devil..as I know him!

As the title suggest and as Frank Sinatra sang... "No...Not in a shy way...I did it my way".. He's one to live life on his own terms.
If Hitler ever aspired to be re-born, I suppose his wishes bore fruit in the form of Gulrez Alam!
I still remember the first time we met and I was hardly impressed or effected by him...He was just another face in the crowd.....But that is what he hates most...To be a part of the crowd.! He wants to be the one the crowd has assembled for. And this is something I have learnt over the past 18 odd months...Be what you are...And be proud of it!
He's one in his own league... And can never take orders... No matter how big or small!
As they say ...Best things come in small package, I beg to differ, because for me, the best thing ever, came in a tall and lean package!
Over the past year and a half, I have come to realise that they don't make 'en like him anymore! If you've ever seen a Rolls Royce, you'd know what I mean!He has the power and desire to turn dreams into reality.
He might project a happy go lucky image and keep fooling around... He'd actually be thinking about some really big things to do in life... Maybe re-building the Titanic for all you know! That is the flight of his dreams...I am sometimes left stumped and shocked at the kinetic energy of his ideas! And mind you, they are all bound to be fruitful. He loves music, he loves to read...(if you write about him) and he like to write a little now and then!He has all the vices that I admire and none of the virtues I hate! The only one virtue I wouldn't mind him to possess is some 'Patience'... aah! That should make the package a delight! Although it's not less delightful without it!
Well... So much for his virtues and vices, I suppose the real Gulrez is hidden somewhere deep inside the debris of a projection for the world. He looks very calm and composed but he has a dozen things on his mind at the same time. He wants to be the best son, the best lover, the best friend , the best brother all at once.... And sometimes it becomes a little problem while he tries the balancing act! It's not so simple to keep everyone happy at the same time. Nevertheless, he keeps striving for that one point of balance to find all the happiness!
He'd come across as a very strong person - you know, the nerves of steel sorts - (I wonder if he;s a natural resource...Anyhow...), but that's just on surface... Probe a little further and you'll find a love lorn kid... lost in this insensitive crowd of selfish people! Men are little boys at heart - this holds more water for him than any other living creature...He wants just three things - attention, attention and some more attention! He'd survive without food...but not without the attention he rightly deserves. Pamper him and let him have his way and you'd be the happiest mother...du..h... I mean the happiest person to have him around!!
To sum it up... he's a real darling..you just have to know how to handle a 'real' darling!
